Another Incredible Sunday Gathering

The day started wet and miserable, I wasn’t looking forward to our Incredible Sunday, surely no one will turn out on a day like this.
But raincoat big hat and boots on off I set, and guess what that incredible sun came out.
When we got in the gate Fred said he would start on making the steps and platform for the beehive, and in no time he was nearly there.

Mary and I continued on up the hill, bareley at the top we were given some lovely large large Fennel plants by Graham, which are now planted trimmed, and hopefully off to a flying start.

David and Patricia arrived with some brilliant blackcurrant bushes for us, which will be going in the new bed that we think will be done by Friday.
We had visitors from Lynmouth in Devon one of whom kept bees, and some lovely new volunteers came and mucked in.
Ruth only came for a chat to find out what it was all about, but was soon off home for her gardening gloves and happy labradore, then joined James and Ben getting stuck into sorting out the graveyard.

Ben one of the Acorn environmental team spending his day off from working for IET, planting for IET as a volunteer, now that’s what I call dedication to the cause. Fab job Ben Thanks loads.
Young Cid, still only 15 months old has moved on from inviting everyone to
“do it for him” on last Novembers conference invitations…

to learning to did it for himself, never too young to start being incredible.
The two hours just flew by and soon it was time to stop, Debbie took the barrow to the compost heap.

The team came home from the hill and returned their tools.

And as I left I had a final look at the now finished steps, at the top on the left you can just make out the space where the platform and beehive will be.

There’ll soon be honey back in Honey Hole, just as it should be.
Another great Sunday, new friends made and new of work done.
Big, big thank you to everyone, your all Incredible.
Next Incredible Sunday is July 4th, see you there
