Tonight I have been planting with the tod in bloom crew, it was great to be out in the damp weather surrounded by people and plants , had a good chance to talk with people about IET and meet veg growers and new helpers.

A kind man came brought us scrumptious food from his Halifax road takeaway,

thank you for that, we were flagging a bit and an onion bargee set us up for a second set of baskets.

Our garden has gone crazy and the thousands of plants have taken up every bit of room, oh the joy of so much rain saving hours of watering.

I have had a stream of growers taking Kale and lettuces, herbs and beetroot.

The Bradford regeneration people enjoyed their visit and its always such a pleasure to share our ideas. read about their visit here

Yesterday I had an email about a possible collaboration with project in Zimbabwe Africa, the thought of incredible edible townships is a wonderful one!
Take a look at Garden Africa they are doing great things

Estelle and I have a garden and Estelle has worked out the best way to get water from the canal.

Paul Clarke and I did a talk at Bradford university
I thought we might be a bit small in a conference about feeding the world , apparently not! as this snippet from an email the next day show
“It was very good to meet you briefly and to hear more about Incredible Edible, particularly with a view to it’s wider impact.
It really was so refreshing (both in terms of approach and delivery) after the conventional views promoted by the first panel”

Halifax rotary club was a joy , a roomful of skilled kind people , keen to learn and consider other ways to make a better world.

Great news about Spain , How Pam does the heat I don’t know? just look at
Incredible Edible Grenada

The website hit counter is an addictive thing, I cant help but look at the hits far to often for a healthy person

My big lad has become a dad again , its amazing to know so many children have benefited from my cockerel, good old napoleon long may he crow in peace.
The pictures of the children’s faces here at the National school say it all.

I did a cock rescue last week, one of our local councillors had too many and we went and got them out of their sumptuous home and took them to our good friend Ali who did the kind deed.
I grabbed the first bird out of the door, feeling silly, as it was a hen, all that baloney about cocks coming out first!
We have done a lot of tours lately and the weather has been good every time.
On Sunday we were brought gifts of fruit bushes from our local councillor and yesterday the Mayor offered edibles from her garden.

The bee space is nearly ready and local man John Warhurst has said we can have his honey separator thing.

Historic Chapels Trust are pleased with the work we are doing in the Unitarian grounds they are fully supportive of IET. Thanks HCT
see how the work is going here

My wild garlic from seed is looking great and its home will be the Ancient listed Quaker burial yard.

The Agricultural Show is nearly upon us and our tent will be the bees knees , come to tod and see the fantastic show.

The WWWOOF people are planning an AGM in Todmorden , that will be a good do. Link

My friend Susie’s husband has had a paper accepted for a conference in Jordan –whats it about? Us of course!

Spinach – I picked loads the other day , OMG it was lovely , I usually eat it raw, cooked was even better.

If anyone reading this blog knows a scientist I need one, we have a gassing landfill place here perfect for growing, lets explore the potential?

The Manchester industrial society visited the church , and I did a impromptu whirlwind history of IET tricky with out slides but once I was off it was ok…..
I can do it without pictures , but pictures do it for me.
