Wow another week gone ,

rain and wind mmmmmmm what happened to the heat wave.
The loved one was 61 so we had a day off doing, well nearly..he did find time to make me a new bed for the wharf

Next day bright and early we met with others to do the station,
Judy new to the incredible business enjoyed herself and what she lacks in gardening know how she makes up for with super woman strength, having just done the three peaks the day before and bashed her head that morning she was a star.

John and Pam got down and dirty
while the youngest helper proved to be a great digger and runner.

I got these flower power gauntlets for the inbloom sisters to wear on the big visit,

ohhh we so like dressing up in Tod!
The bloomers have been out this weekend helping get the town nice.

Bugs are lovely but not when they are this big! and you are on your hands and knees weeding your roof garden. Ykes, I don’t like heights or weeding the roof and when I found myself surrounded by 20 or so of these whoppers I had to swallow a shriek.

The loved one was straight indoors and on the Ipad , elephant hawks head moths,

yuk, yuk, the kids loved them and I easily persuaded them to take 5 home.

For the loved ones birthday he got a heart shaped stone and the money saved bought this gadget, what a faff, how can it be any good? We shall see , £38 quid for holes.

I will keep you posted how it shapes up.
Sometimes I just have to buy stuff, its sad but true I need shopping fixes.

What to wear for a prince?
Now there is a very tough problem, busy woman is no fashion queen , a pinny is the favourite garb, the same pinny for 6 years worn thin.
Kath kidstson makes fantastic pinnies but they do not make clothes for a woman like me , so the answer was simple just have a hair cut.
I cut my own hair of late so some courage was needed to get in the salon, whilst waiting a woman came in with a copy of the Sun article, telling the customers what she thought , I am sat wondering whether to get out quick, it was most strange to sit and listen to the town chat about the article . When the cutting deed was done , the hairdresser asked if I knew hair was good for composting , she said they would like to do their bit for incredible edible by composting the hair , the cut was ok- £10.50 which I am told is a bargain, but the offer to compost was fabulous beyond words.

Tubs are my world, I love them , I buy every type in every colour so in a year I might buy 24 ish but at any one time I have 6, what’s the deal, where do they go This one has not moved because its full of my stinking sh…brew.

If anyone knows or suffers similar problems let me know, this has to stop.

The lettuce factory is still in top production, I have given up counting how many are grown and eaten and I reckon another month and we will close the lettuce factory.

I am a busy woman who gardens blindly , no not wearing a blindfold, just sticking in stuff where and when I like , breaking rules for light and shade , I go by the look of the thing or where there is a hole or I can reach.
Now this random approach seems to work – mostly, except for toms, the very thing I fancied most.

Ah well cant be randomly good at everything.

We have been continuing our investment in the bees

and now in the future bee keepers kit,

they look pretty cool eh?

This weekend has been crazy so many people looking and wanting to know more about Todmorden, I expect it was the SUN article that brought so much interest, blimey I am surprised who reads it.

Had to put up this sign on the canal to preserve some kale sites for the bigfella’s visit.
Thinking ahead for next year I am collecting seeds ready for making bee food bombs.
Pam is going away for her big birthday, the ship will loose the captain, the sailors may get sozzled in her absence.
she will miss the whoha of the Princes visit and unlike me she has no ipad to get the latest news.
Heres to us all staying good in the next few weeks, let those basking in the Italian sun find shade and cool drinks, and those left behind to show case growing have warm autumn weather and chase away butterflies and massive bugs so we can pretend to the Prince we northerners have a microclimate like cornwall…..

Mm does prince have a big p or ordinary?
