We are delighted by the support we have received – everyone wants to get involved! Events and companies are still coming online – so keep checking the IET website for up to the minute listings of events and details of the companies attending each of the markets.
First event: Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd July is the start of the festival, this ties in with the regional Action for Market Towns Conference, which we are hosting on the Friday at the Central Methodists Church. Our aim is to promote and celebrate local food, in its many forms, along with the food there will be stalls providing information on local produce and food projects. This promises to be a real tasty treat so put the diet on hold and pay it a visit.
Below is a list of the companies currently signed up for the events:-
Pextenement Cheese Company
Bare Arts Brewery
Hanuman Thai Restaurant

Todmorden Vintner

This is a wonderful way to support local businesses especially in these harder times. Money spent with local farmers, growers and producers all stays close to home, working to build our local economy instead of being handed over to a corporation in another city or country. Since the food moves through fewer hands, more of the money you spend tends to get to the people growing it. They then spend the money locally benefitting more local businesses which in turn creates jobs.
