Local Food Matters Northallerton, Updated

If you are in the Northallerton area you could go along to the Local Food Matters meeting at Northallerton Town Hall. Mary and Pam will be there to let you know how Incredible Edible ideas are working here in Tod.

Today Pam and I went to talk to Northallerton Transition Town, it was
a long sunny journey.
It’s always good to be able to go out and share what we are doing with
willing ears.
We spotted an ace spot for some veg just outside the station , to
make sure it gets done we are holding to ransom a fine Tupperware box
we were lent to take some food home in.
Northallerton is so the opposite of our town, big and full of shops and a thriving market, they are surrounded by good land, the council has officers to help with the recycling and sustainable agendas.
We heard about the Muckers who produce compost for the community, a nice idea we could pinch?
If anyone in Northallerton reads this , I wouldn’t say no to a
weekend house swap just to try your fantastic food shops.
We wish you well and hope you get out and do a spot of planting.
