Great News More Free Compost

Mark the Magic Compost Man (whatever we plant in it grows like magic) sent us a message

“After the recent successful Black Gold Compost give away in August we are planning to do some more, the compost is recycled from the streets and Parks of Calderdale and we need to create some space ready for leaf fall this autumn.
Last week we distributed 830 Tons within Calderdale on allotments and a land reclamation project at Exley Cemetery.
I am planning for another Free compost event at
Milner Royd on Saturday 18 th September 10 – 3 and then a compost Weekend another on Saturday 25th September at Raistick next to Allotments at Chapel
Croft ( just up From Ward Court ) The Bridge Ripponden, and Mill Bank
and Christ Church School Sowerby Bridge where mini Big Heaps are
being distributed by Britain in Bloom groups and Schools.”

proof of residence in Calderdale needed please

Mark is also thinking about a Compost open day – To be confirmed

A visit to “The Calderdale Compost Factory” at Milner Royd – Saturday 13th November 10 am – 3pm – To be confirmed
