A progress report.

So many things going on, it feels like standing in the middle do a tornado at times.
Work on the three plates in Todmorden going from strength to strength thanks to the passion and commitment of a growing number of local folks.
Volunteers, businesses, parents and teachers, local artists all investing their time and skills in our town.
From amazing propaganda beds, to inspirational information points and sculptures along our bee route.
Butchers and bakers showing how our food arrives at our table. Jam makers and compost makers sharing their tips and techniques. Our website gives dates for all these things.
And beyond this, what about an Incredible Community bank to fund our plans for more local food production?
What about local ownership of our market hall to turn into it into a 21st century super market.?
What about more community orchards and nut woods?
Would be great to hear what folks think about these things. We have a date for the Big nut wood tree planting in February a the Unitarian, date on our website.
And then there’s the out of town stuff, so important, so exciting.
People from Incredible towns all over the country sharing their experiences, feeling the power of being a part of a movement bigger than their individual town. Having their own brilliant successes bringing more food to local tables. Councils rethinking their role in support of the community. Land increasingly being designated for community growing.
In Bloom groups joining forces with Incredibles to make where they live beautiful and bountiful.
And all this sparking debates and interest in what seemed like three years ago the most unlikely places.
House of Lords, churches and chapels, national think tanks. All looking at what ordinary folks are doing to bring some positive changes into their lives.
When people I speak to quite rarely meet me now, the first thing they say, and always with a smile on their lips, is how fabulous the Incredible Edible thing is.
Reflecting I think the strength of a simple message.
We all have a stake in building a good future for the next generation as well as the present.

So lets Just do it.
