They venture out but it’s slim peckings today

Despite her fluffy boots, Black Copper Maran Murtle, stamps her feet. And it looks like Aggie and Bertha have a had a thought. (A big day – hens’ thoughts are almost as rare as hens’ teeth.)

‘Follow me, Bertha. No-one’s noticed we’ve gone. I know a secret place with tasty worms on tap.’

Here we are!

Move over, Aggie.

Oooh, yes, very cosy.

But a bit hard under the beak.

What’s this? Someone’s beaten us to it!
