Spud harvest time at Ferney lee old folks

Heres JP of the IET volunteer team with the biggest spud we found

The team got a full sack of spuds and Gareth delivered the lot to the kitchens

One of the staff was asking what all the strange vegetables are and this lovely Italian lady resident not only knew all about Rainbow Chard and Radducio she taught us how to pronounce it properly!

We planted up the ex spud bed with kale and mini marrows, sweetcorn beetroot and radishes, here’s Gareth doing it.

William watering the seeds.
That was monday, by thursday there were rows of tiny seedlings up already!
Excelent work lads see you all at the old folks round the back at 11am next monday for more! All welcome.
