The Orchards Grow!
Last update: 4.02.10 First posted: 3.02.10 by Nick inWe took delivery today of 250 apple and plum trees from Adams Apples in Honiton devon.

Caseys Ltd from the Harley Bank regeneration scheme round the corner helped unload the two pallettes, thanks chaps!

The apples are mostly on M106 rootstocks, a mixture of varietied reccomended for the north.

Also we have strawberries 250, rhubarb crowns 120, blueberry plants & cranberry plants.All for the health centre planting.

And all in nifty hardwood crates that will make fab compost bins!

Who paid for all this?
CFFC community fund for calderdale,
CMBC (our local authority) gave us a small grant for orchards just recently
Northern Gas Networks have sponsored the health centre planting.
