Trafford Ecohouse Aquaponics
Last update: 27.01.10 First posted: 26.01.10 by Nick in AquaponicsTrafford Ecohouse, a typical “normal” house in south Manchester has been officially designated by their local authority. Why?
Owner Andrew Leask is building a large aquaponics unit in a pollytunel in his back yard!

The system occupies the whole of an 14’X28” pollytunnel its built and Andrew is conditioning the system prior top introducing fish, which will be trout.

Growing beds are large

Andrew has clearly put a lot of thought and energy into the project which must be the largest domestic aquaponics system in the uk.
You can follow his progress here www.TraffordEcoHouse.com
Andrew also pointed us to a group doing a commercial aquaponics project in Anglesey which is well established
So with hydroponics4life and ABLE its looking like a healthy cluster of local aquaponics projects, great!
