During the war the importation of medicines and drugs was extremely difficult for obvious reasons.
This fantastic war effort booklet contains some real gems ,
some interesting drugs were seen as key to get through the war,
rhubarb , fennel, Valerian, raspberry leaf, marsh mallow. liquorice .
peppermint Parsley. squirting cucumber – I kid you not!!!
and a right moody sounding plant Stramonium
Good old Min of Ag and Fish!
Maybe we should have an incredible ‘War effort medicine plot’
