Pam New Chair of Forestry Commision

Sorry for the bad pun, but you haven’t seen the ones I rejected.
IET’s very own Pam Warhurst has been appointed Chair of the Forestry Commission taking over from Lord Clark of Windermere, who stood down as chair last December.
The Forestry Commission is the largest provider of countryside recreational space in Britain with responsibility for over one million hectares of forest, woodlands and open countryside.
Most of us will have driven through, camped in, walked through or just wondered at one or more of our glorious forests.
Nine per cent of England is wooded, and The Forestry Commission aims to provide a resource of trees, woods and forests in places where they can contribute most to the environment. Trees are a great sustainable resource when properly managed, important to both economy and climate.
Trees are to an extent the planets lungs and Pam has all the right credentials for the job, and for caring for our environment, here I snapped Pam getting in some ground level practice

We are very proud of our co founder, and know the job is in good and caring hands.
