A great Day for Painting

It was a great day for painting.
Slowly, slowly the ugly hoarding surrounding what used to be the Rose Street clinic is turning from a boring brown to kinder shade of green.
All sorts of folk stopped for a chat.
Some in disbelief that anyone would give up their Sunday afternoon to improve the look of the space around our precious market hall.
Others wishing it was happening in their home town .
One particularly helpful young man helped by making wonderful patterns across the hoarding with his super duper aeroplane as well as a roller.
Rachel up the ladder was a star.
I was reminded never to paint in a white shirt.

But I guess the real lesson to be learned is, if you are going to blight the centre of a town with a wall of indifferent plywood over the summer, autumn and winter period, make it green.
