One week on and I can now take in all that happened last Saturday.
It all started when I went to Mayor making to see the old Mayor out and the new Mayor in. Tony Greenwood has been an exceptional Mayor full of support for the community and he believes in the power of kindness. I am so proud that the last thing he did as Mayor was to give me a citizenship award

citizenship award
The award was for telling the story of IET and for bringing folk to our town. Now I couldn’t tell the story unless there was one to tell and there has to be something to show people or they won’t come, so this award really belongs to all the IET volunteers, our fabulous local traders and everyone that makes our town so special.
Adam, Stephen, and Andrew three of our most regular volunteers came with me and met Councillor Christine Potter the new Todmorden Town Mayor and deputy Mayor Councillor, Andy Hollis.

We all enjoyed a wonderful Mayoral lunch, then it was a quick dash to meet Mary and get into character

What a day, I won’t forget this one in a hurry
