Last tour of 2013 wet windy but unbowed.

Yesterday was one of the wettest days we have had recently, the rain absolutely fell out of the sky, it was one of those mornings when I definitely did not want to go outside.
But I am so pleased I did because a resolute group of visitors from Shipley and Bradford arrived in Tod to see what we are all about.
These weren’t all growers or community gardeners, but a mixture of both and of people who just care about where they live.
Luckily we have plenty of umbrellas so off we went to the health centre, theatre, Rose Street, the market and the police station with a brief stop at Saker the Baker for tasty treats to sustain our intrepid band.
When after an hour and a half we arrived back at their trusty mini bus at the Unitarian it stopped raining just long enough for me to risk using my camera
Happy holidays to all
Check out the face at the window, an incredible little girl who was a joy and didn’t once complain about being cold or wet or having to walk so far and was really interested in everything.
Some of our visitors said they will try to make something incredible where they live, others asked to bring groups that they work with to see us in the spring.

I had a great day and the wet and cold couldn’t dampen the warmth and enthusiasm we shared.

We will have a warm welcome and hopefully a little sunshine for you when you come back in the spring.
