Proper bit of Yorkshire, Parkin

1 cup SR flour
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon ginger
ΒΌ tsp bicarbonate of soda
1 tbsp black treacle
1 tbsp golden syrup
125g none dairy margarine
1 cup boiling milk (soya, almond or other none dairy)

1) Warm and mix the syrup, treacle and butter together and then add boiling milk
2) Mix flour, oatmeal, sugar, ginger and bicarbonate of soda
3) Stir the warm mixture into the dry ingredients
4) Bake at 160oC in a fan oven for 45 minutes until firm.
