GREAT FREE PUPPET AND COSTUME MAKING WORKSHOPS FOR TODMORDEN’S POLLINATION PARADE!
Incredible Edible Todmorden have teamed up with the artists from the Handmade Parade to make Todmorden’s first ever POLLINATION PARADE. It’s going to be a beautiful artistic community celebration of bees, blossoms and the magic that happens to make our gardens grow. It’s a celebration to mark the launch of Todmorden’s new Green Route.
The parade will be on the Jubilee bank holiday Monday June 4th . It will start at the Unitarian Church at 2. 30, and finish in the market square in time to join in with the wonderful TOD TEA community picnic, where there’ll be food, music and dancing.
A parade needs people and amazing costumes, so we’re holding FREE WORKSHOPS in the week leading up to the event so that you can be a part of it. Come and get stuck in!

Banner Making –sewers, cutters and people who want to work with fabric are needed to make giant bee and flower banners for the parade. Work with Jamima Latimer of Space Cadets. This workshop will be held at Union House, Hall St, Tod (behind library)
Withie building – Learn to bend lengths of willow to create beautiful large structures. Work with parade artist Kerith Ogden to build a giant beehive and pollen. This workshop will be held at the Unitarian Church, Honey Hole Rd
Flower puppets and amazing blossom hats – We want to make a sea of huge blossoms for the parade. We’ll be using fabric, paint and found materials to stick, sew and paint a bed of sunflowers, courgette flowers and apple blossoms, all waiting to be pollinated by the tiny bees! Work with parade artist Jonny Quick. This workshop will be held at Union House, Hall St, Tod (behind library)
