INCREDIBLE EDIBLE TODMORDEN
…where it all began
Over 100 projects around the UK, over 700 projects worldwide, two spin-off Social Enterprise Companies and still, after eight years, Incredible Edible Todmorden grows and thrives.
Although we all started it off, we are not responsible for any of these other organisations and we have no legal or financial links to the Incrdible Aquagarden behind the High School, or the Incredible Farm at Walsden. We are Incredible Edible Todmorden.
We grow vegetables to share all around Todmorden, run cooking and other demonstrations and workshops, organise festivals, encourage people to shop local, and work with other local organisations to build a stronger, kinder community.
And that’s without any paid staff, buildings or funding from statutory organisations. Our only income is from voluntary donations and fees for talks and tours.
Incredibly Confused about who is who? How it all links together?
*Incredible Edible Todmorden *
Chaired by one of the co-founders of Incredible Edible Todmorden, Mary Clear, a Community Benefit Society maintaining the community spirit and ethos of Incredible Edible. Growing food to share, running festivals and cooking demos, and supporting businesses and other local groups. All with no paid staff, no buildings, no public funding: radical community building in action.
The Incredible Farm
Originally a project of Incredible Edible Todmorden, the farm teaches small scale commercial food growing and marketing skills to young people. Chaired by Nick Green the Incredible Farm is now a stand-alone not-for-profit
The Incredible Network
Chaired by one of the co-founders of Incredible Edible Todmorden, Pam Warhurst, the Incredible Edible Network was set up in 2012 in response to the huge popularity of the original group in Todmorden and the flood of enquiries from those who wanted to embrace its aims. It was set up to inspire new groups across the UK and to provide more people with information about food activism and community resilience.
Incredible Edible Ltd
A not-for-profit company chaired by one of the co-founders of Incredible Edible Todmorden, Pam Warhurst, it protects and licences the use of the Incredible Edible brand and logo.
